Wishing You All A Merry Christmas

Ellen, Founder of Rhubarb & Hare with her handmade wreath December 2023

And just like that, another year is over.

The store is now closed for its annual Christmas break.  Any orders placed now will be posted out when it re-opens on Monday 8 January 2024.

I'd like to take this moment to say a huge thank you to each and every single one of you for all your support this year.  It's been another fantastic one for Rhubarb & Hare and every order, every returning customer, every email telling me how much you or your loved one has delighted in your purchase is so incredibly valuable to me, working alone in my store of one.  Well, there is Le Pup but aside from nudging me with a wet nose when I'm trying to draft newsletters he's not that much of a colleague (though that's strictly between us).

I wish you all a very merry and peaceful Christmas with the ones you love.

Maybe it's a sign of getting older, or just busier, but this year has absolutely flown by.  Even more so than usual I feel.  Christmas is suddenly here and I am not in the least prepared.  The Christmas cake hasn't been made, cards haven't been written and Hare House is only partially decorated.  We still have a sitting room with an unfinished ceiling and walls, but all being well we will be together at Christmas, there'll be games, delicious food and laughter and gosh that makes me feel like the luckiest person in the world.

See you in the New Year.
